Sparking Tiny Fires (Camp 2007)

👤 By: N P⛺ other

This is Camp 2007 at YLCC. I can close my eyes and remember every square inch of this place because of you. I couldn’t afford to go and you took me anyway. I was a terrible science student but you still saw something in me worth investing so much of your spare time into. I love that you’re wearing a Prometheus sign in this old video, because I imagine the countless kids you sparked tiny fires in that helped them realize who they are capable of being. You did all of that while leading with compassion, kindness and inclusivity. I’m not who I am today without you Karen, and you will always be an example in my mind and heart of the very best that people are capable of being. You are very dear to me and always will be :)
